Imagine you’re on a ship, a big ship, let’s call it The Titanic. Imagine that this ship just hit an iceberg in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Imagine that now this ship has a big hole and is sinking by the minute. Would your first intuition be to grab a pretty girl, bring her to the bow of the ship spread her arms like she’s Jesus Christ on the crux and pretending to be flying? Please note that you can only answer yes if you’re Leonardo DiCaprio, which I doubt.

Ok, let’s assume you’re not Leonardo DiCaprio and don’t suffer from grave mental impairments, how would you stop the ship from sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic and save your life? Clearly the best way to achieve this noble goal would be to find the bloody hole where the water is coming thru and repair it as fast as possible. Clearly you would be yelling at people wasting their time using buckets to remove the water from the ship and order them to help you fix the hole.

Yet, I guarantee you, most of the people you know (of course not you, genius) have been busy removing water from a sinking ship instead of fixing the hole. Even worse, they are convinced that removing the water is actually fixing the hole.

Take Poverty: what’s the number 1 complaint of poor people? Things are too expensive. Which is obviously true if you’re poor. What are the most proposed…
