Is Trump A Very Stable Businessman?

One of the leitmotif of Trump critics is that he’s not a great businessman, actually, if he was to put all the money he inherited in the stock market he would have made much more $$$.

As it turns out there are a couple of problems with that grand theory.

For starters: Fred Trump died in 1999

Yet Donald Trump first became a billionaire in the late 80s:

Very well, they may say, what about that famous $1M loan?

Trump loaned $1M from his father at age 27 (1973) in order to secure the purchase of the then decadent Grand Hyatt in Manhattan which was re-opened in 1976.

From 1973 to 1989 the SP500 averaged 12.3% per annum.
