How Your iPhone Is Spying On You. All The Time

Last week, after 3 years of radio-silence, I talked to a good friend of mine on the Instagram chat for the whole day. While we were trying to relive the good old times we both remembered we once take a picture together and wondered if that picture still existed. I, being the “don’t worry baby I will find it” kind of guy begun to search for it.

First I went to Facebook Messenger to see if I had send that picture to my friend at the time and to establish a time-frame of when that picture was taken. No luck

Then I opened my Gmail and begun searching for emails around the period when we met with attachments to see if I might have sent the pictures to somebody else. Nothing

Finally I went to check my Photos App on my Mac to look for that bloody picture to no avail.

Many hours later I had to surrender and let my friend know that the picture resided only in our memories. We kept chatting for a while longer until I got a weird notification from my iPhone.

I have owned an iPhone since 2007, I’ve worked with developers to create couple of apps for iOS and I have an above-the-average knowledge of technology in general. Yet I had never seen nor received that kind of notification. Not even once.
