The #TrumpRussia collusion has always struck me as a bad conspiracy theory conjured up by those who couldn’t see him winning, as a mechanism to cope with the new reality of President Trump.

However, yesterday, when Michael Wolff published this story as a prelude of his new book “Fire And Fury, Inside the Trump White House”, things took a strange turn.

The book is portrayed as an accurate account of what was going on inside the Trump campaign during the last days of the election, the transition and the first months of the Trump White House, be that as it may, there are many problems with that assumption.

Let’s examine some:

“In the end, the best Trump would do is to loan the campaign $10 million, provided he got it back as soon as they could raise other money. Steve Mnuchin, the campaign’s finance chairman, came to collect the loan with the wire instructions ready to go so Trump couldn’t conveniently forget to send the money.”

In reality Trump donated $66M to the campaign: 660% more than what’s reported in the book.
